Memorandum on Infocommunication Terms
The work Group Goals:
The issues of infocommunication terminology usage and interpretation in university education are to be discussed by the IRCNU Work Group. The uniformed terminology is considered to be a basic principle of technical engineering education and studying programs for any high school. This enables the adequate permanent studying process for native and foreign students. It also makes easier different scientific and academic institutions cooperation and collaboration (e.g. workshops, conferences, etc.)
The Work Group Tasks:
- It is recommended to the members of the Work Group to define the list of basic terms, forming thesaurus, which will be enough for high education in the infocommunication sphere.
- All the thesaurus variant are to be discussed; the basic thesaurus variant is formed and it’s volume is defined.
- For each thesaurus terms it is recommend for the Work Group to give the interpretation and definition, easy understandable for students. It is also acceptable the usage of existing terms, given by the ITU recommendation.
- The terms have being discussed and those definitions are to be included into the basic thesaurus.
- For the usage of thesaurus terminology the infocommunication dictionary is recommended to be created. The ITU terms notation could be used therefor.
- All the decisions of the Work Group are made on the basis of consensus.
